Fifty interviews were conducted with industry leaders. Results of the research include a holistic approach to strengthening soft skills in ICT training programs, where recruitment is the benchmark. First, factors that could influence the strengthening of the development of these skills were identified and grouped into operational axes characteristic of academic activity. Simultaneously, as a result of the research process, guidelines were set for a new vision of university training for new ICT professionals, where technical skills are a key component of the training process, while the incorporation and evaluation of soft skills and their impact on the demand for new competences in the labor market is assumed to be necessary.
