VIVERO ARRIAGADA, Luis y MOLINA CHAVEZ, Walter. Theoretical Perspectives and College Education of the Social Work Programs in Post-Dictatorship in Chile. Trab. soc. [online]. 2021, vol.23, n.2, pp.239-264. Epub 27-Abr-2022. ISSN 2256-5493. https://doi.org/10.15446/ts.v23n2.81544.
The object of the present article is to identify the main theoretical perspectives in university teaching of Social Work in Chile after the end of the dictatorship. From a hermeneutical-critical perspective are analyzed first year study programs addressing the basis and the history of the discipline in universities belonging to the Council of Rectors of Chilean Universities (CRUCH). From the results we detect the emergence of two major perspectives that nourish professional training: one, a generalist approach, and the other based on the social and political history of Chile and Latin America.
