Resumen
ORTIZ NUNEZ, Facundo. Chilean Insomnia. Rev.econ.inst. [online]. 2021, vol.23, n.45, pp.309-318. Epub 02-Sep-2022. ISSN 0124-5996. https://doi.org/10.18601/01245996.v23n45.15.
The constituent elections in Chile were a surprise that once again called into question the predictions of the experts. Independents and women defeated parties disconnected from the needs and demands of the new generations, who protested in the streets before the pandemic. The right wing failed to get the necessary votes to veto the constituent assembly, and the political tilt of the country seems to have changed with the emergence of new forces more attentive to the aspirations and yearnings of the population.
