Abstract This study aims to analyze the relationship between the popular manifestations that took place in Brazil in June 2013 - that were repeated in March 2015, the political crisis of the Brazilian constitutional State and the law found in the streets. To do so, we will analyze the popular participation in political life in Brazil in the twenty-first century, taking into account the concept of legitimacy, as well as the relationship between freedom and non-domination.
