Resumen
JOSELEVICH, Camila. Heresiology in extractivisms: "anti-miners". Tabula Rasa [online]. 2016, n.24, pp.105-122. ISSN 1794-2489.
In this text we will see some parallels existing between 1st and 2nd centuries Christian theology, and the current pro-extractivism discourse in Latin America. Through a comparison between some journalistic notes related to Tía María copper-extraction project in Arequipa (Peru), and early Christian sources, such as the Epistles of Paul of Tarsus, and the Adversus Haereses of Irenaeus of Lyons, we will show that at least one important aspect of the pro-mining speech is strongly based on informing "anti-mining" as heretic. Thus, we will discuss about what it means to view such a discourse as a neoliberal heresiology.
