Resumen

CUCHUMBE HOLGUIN, Nelson Jair. LA DIMENSIÓN INTERPRETATIVA COMO HORIZONTE EPISTEMOLÓGICO: EL RECONOCIMIENTO DE LA DIFERENCIA* †. Prax. filos. [online]. 2007, n.25, pp.97-110. ISSN 0120-4688.

In this paper some theoretical elements are presented which establish the interpretative dimension as part of the epistemological framework which enables us to understand the situation of tension and conflict between the vision of justice of the ruling government and the administration of justice designed and carried out by Colombian ethnic groups. Subsequently three that this situation of tension and conflict may be understood from outside the alternative of objectivity and subjectivity established by the classic concept of knowledge. The conclusion is reached that the interpretative dimension enables us to understand and recognize that there is a place for symbolic and cultural multiplicity. It is a place that requires citizens who are willing to take risks and continually remove the mentalities which are used in social interaction. This dimension underlines the “sociable unsociability of the human being” and assumes that the human being becomes sure of his identity through dialogical relationships and a participative attitude.

Palabras clave : interpretative dimension; recognition; difference; subjectivity; intersubjectivity; ethical-political dimension.
