Resumen

MERINO SOTO, CÉSAR  y  ARIZA-CRUZ, CANDY. Initial Parameters for the Validation of the Adult ADHD Self Report Scale V 1.1 (ASRS) in Peruvian Young Adults. Salud, Barranquilla [online]. 2021, vol.37, n.3, pp.675-682.  Epub 13-Mayo-2022. ISSN 0120-5552.  https://doi.org/10.14482/sun.37.3.616.858.

Objective.

To present the initial metric parameters of the Adult ADHD Self Report Scale V 1.1 abbreviated (ASRS-6) in Peruvian young adult participants.

Material and methods.

Observational and cross-sectional study; 70 participants (39 women), from Metropolitan Lima (Peru); 26 in work activity, between 17 and 33 years (average age 21.7), from various professional careers under study.

Results.

The internal structure was one-dimensional, with item-test correlations and factor loads greater than .35. The internal consistency reliability was around .64. The correlation with GHQ and a measure of stress was around .32.

Conclusions.

The results were similar to the original Anglo-Saxon study, and they indicate adequate psychometric baseline parameters that support the initial ASRS validation study.
