AGUILAR HERNANDEZ, Luis. The politics of change in education and innovation management. Innovar [online]. 2009, vol.19, suppl.1, pp.9-24. ISSN 0121-5051.
This article reflects on the meaning, nature and opportunity of the politics of change in education, approaching the matter from several policy dimensions. Specific attention is paid to the exhaustion of formats, policies and scholastic institutions themselves which are surely at the root of such approaches' ineffectiveness. At a time when policies and strategies regarding change revolve around local matters, reduce their formats and renew debate on such matters (sweeping reforms involving innovation), it does not seem that questions regarding educational systems' meaning and logic, such as them becoming incorporated within with the broader social and institutional context, have been substantially approached. Rapprochement with the contexts and form in which problems are presented in them demand a distinct concept of change in educational systems, implied by a localised rethinking of the meaning of the scholastic institution.
