Resumen
ALFARO PAREJA, Francisco. The horizon of popular illusions: The Independence of Venezuela and the unresolved conflicts. Hist. Caribe [online]. 2014, vol.9, n.24, pp.63-87. ISSN 0122-8803.
This essay aims to study how the process of Independence of Venezuela worked as stimulant of other political, social and economic conflicts until their convergence in a new political conflict: the Federal War. All of that to outline the complexity of the political conflicts as a catalyst of other kind of interests, requests and needs. Although these do not achieve to satisfy them completely, they do so imperfectly or invigorate their previous situation at least.
