CRESPO RAZEG, FARIDE  y  BUITRAGO TRUJILLO, JUAN CAMILO. Civil society organizations. Democratic pluralism. estud.gerenc. [online]. 2012, vol.28, n.124, pp.9-21. ISSN 0123-5923.

Given the importance of democratic participation in Colombian history, it is possible to speak of democratic pluralism in Colombia? The central objective of this article is to discuss the transformations that have occurred in the establishment of civil society organizations taking into consideration the socioeconomic and political events that took place from 1930 to the end of the twentieth century in this country which have not only changed the political agendas of Latin American countries, but also transformed their functional perspective. These events have plunged the population into institutional disillusionment, raising a reflection as to whether there is legitimate exercise of civil vindication in Colombia. This discussion arises from secondary sources, taking into account the perspectives of various disciplines about Colombian history and focusing on civil society organizations.

Palabras clave : Civil society in Colombia; democracy in Colombia; social vindication in Colombia.
