The methodology used is linear regression previously estimating an exploratory factor analysis to group the personal and social skills of emotional intelligence. In the results it is found that the emotional intelligence displayed in the emotional and social skills positively affects job skills, finding that aspects such as emotion recognition, teamwork, communication, achievement orientation, perception and negotiation are characteristics of the individual that favor the formation of skills affecting job performance.
