VALENCIA LOPEZ, Santiago. About a theology of the body. Cuest. teol. [online]. 2012, vol.39, n.91, pp.161-169. ISSN 0120-131X.

Theology of the body has been part of a fundamental dimension of the scientific discourse on God and the Christian faith. Among its assumptions we find Rahner's Christology which dives into the mystery of the Incarnation of the Verb of God, putting it at the center of the reality in which we Christians believe. But it was after Pope Wojtila and his writings when the study of this concept took a meaningful turn because it implied what it meant to go further in theology. His actual questions are divided between reflection on sexuality and the newness of the research on sport; to this last go the following lines of this essay. To achieve that aim we need to open the theological panorama of Christian athletes who are wondering about the meaning of their practice. This annotation is an approach to theology of the body following a bibliographical tracking to define some ways to develop this issue today.
