The article makes an extensive and analytical review of the literature produced on the topic of industry in Colombia from theoretical, methodological and nosological settings. It constitutes necessary reference material for both experts (regarding global debate and the topic’s critics) and students or researchers wishing to obtain a panoramic view of the state of the art concerning industrialisation without needing to probe deeper than necessary.
