Introduction: Adolescent pregnancy is considered an important public health problem, because of the high prevalence throughout the country. The occurrence of an unplanned pregnancy destabilizes the lives of young and has serious economic and social consequences, and possible complications for mother and fetus. This study aims to describe the risk factors that contribute to the occurrence of teenage pregnancy from Brazilian scientific production. Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive study of integrative literature review, developed from scientific productions identified in the Virtual Health Library (VHL). The study sample was composed of 11 articles SciELO and 19 LILACS, which meet the objectives of the study. After reading in full, remained a final sample of 10 articles, which accounted explicitly, in their results, the evidence about the risk factors that contribute to the incidence of teenage pregnancy. Results: Low education of adolescents, early age for first sexual intercourse, low socioeconomic status, and not using contraception, maternal history of teenage pregnancy and lack of sexual orientation were some of the results shown as risk factors for an early gestation, identified from the studies analyzed. Discussion and Conclusions: It is thought that the study will contribute to further discussions of public health policies that meet the needs of young people and their parents, schools, society and healthcare institutions reflect on your role with the guidance adolescents in order to intervene on risk factors for early pregnancy, reducing therefore the number of teenage pregnancies.
