MESA ALVARADO, LAURA. CONFLICT IN RECALCITRANT EMOTIONS. Ideas y Valores [online]. 2018, vol.67, suppl.4, pp.113-128. ISSN 0120-0062.  https://doi.org/10.15446/ideasyvalores.v67n4supl.73082.

In general, all emotions share certain characteristics that are inherent to them: they have associated conducts and intentional objects. Furthermore, in the case of recalcitrant emotions, the subject makes a judgment regarding the intentional object, which enters into conflict with the emotion. A typical case is the fear of flying: someone refuses to fly on an airplane despite judging that the action entails no danger. Given that the actions involved in the emotion are intentional actions of the subject and their objective is contrary to the subject's judgment, we propose that said emotions are irrational.

Palavras-chave : conduct; recalcitrant emotions; irrationality; judgment; intentional object.
