The purpose of this review article is to show the readers that tromboelastógram is an adyuvant tool in the perioperative evaluation and management of the patient with coagulation disorders. An emphasis is made on the physics bases, sampling, análisis of its results and posible aplications in the different medical fields. This technology will take an important role in our County as the different institutions began having access to this area.
