The article is directed to understand some culture-power relationships mediating the organization processes in some regions with social and armed conflict in Colombia. the case of the historical development of a peasant's organization in Cimitarra, Santander, shows the form in which the group's own cultural policies are interwoven with the local and national political culture and how the ways of assuming politics are also re-defined through such a process.
