BOTERO, Patricia. Generational movements from five experiences of political action in Colombia. Nómadas [online]. 2011, n.34, pp.61-75. ISSN 0121-7550.

Youths taking part in the social movements in Colombia manifests some intercultural and inter-gerational expressions of creation of politics of place that implies the necessity of a decolonial perspective in the studies on youth. Generational movements present a historicity relationship materialized in daily life as they denaturalize the amalgam among capitalism, partidism and war. Rather than seeking some recognition or redistribution, their struggles against violence become the main driving force for collective action as life policies, braking with the conception of a hybrid generalized global time.

Palavras-chave : social movements; generational movements; politics; decolonial perspective; interculturality; intergenerational perspective.
