A historical approach to information technology and communication in the educational and pedagogical field in Colombia, allows recognizing certain changes in the senses given to knowledge, and in the ways and places in which it is manufactured and circulates. In this perspective, we present schematic results of a research, as well as a specific case referred to a national proposal on technological skills and professional training for teachers. We conclude with a critic toward the dominant model of understanding the relationships between knowledge, TIC and education.
