This study presents the results obtained after measuring the performance of biomass combustion (coffee husks and rice husks) in a bubbling fluidized bed reactor. By analyzing the percentages of CO₂, O₂ and CO obtained from its emissions, it is possible to define the variables that affect the burning of such biomass as well as the optimum operation and combustion points of the reactor. Since the particular characteristics of this type of raw materials hinder its potential benefits, this study suggests alternatives for its better use and exploitation.
