GALICIA MOYEDA, Iris Xóchitl; SANCHEZ VELASCO, Alejandra  e  ROBLES OJEDA, Francisco Javier. Relations between love styles and teenage violence. Psicol. caribe [online]. 2013, vol.30, n.2, pp.211-235. ISSN 2011-7485.

According to diverse pieces of evidence, the way in which teenagers establish their romantic relationships could be associated with violence perpetrated and suffered during courtship. Love Attitudes Scale (Hendrick and Hendrick, 1986) and the Questionnaire about Courtship Violence were applied to a sample of 105 women and 93 men, between 13 and 15 years old in order to determine how such a connection is manifested. Evidence showed that prevailing romantic styles were Storge and Eros. Men whose style is Ludus are more prone to suffer violence, whereas women whose prevailing style is Agape are the ones who most suffer and perpetrate violence in their romantic relationships. Due to the fact that this style is not usual, it is suggested that more equal relationships be promoted.

Palavras-chave : Infatuation; love styles; adolescence.
