RIOS BAEZA, Felipe Adrián. Roberto Bolaño's Abysmal Mexico. Lit. teor. hist. crit. [online]. 2016, vol.18, n.2, pp.183-204. ISSN 2256-5450. https://doi.org/10.15446/lthc.v18n2.58763.
This analysis not only stresses the presence of Mexico as a literary motif and aesthetically refracted space in the literature of Roberto Bolaño, which has attracted the majority of the specialized critics, but analyzes its behavior and its influence on diverse characters to support the hypothesis that Mexico becomes something more than a reference. In his work, Mexico is an event, as understood in poststructuralist criticism, capable of altering the perception of those who live or arrive there, enabling the invention of a highly chaotic and ever-changing territory.
