This paper briefly introduces electronic filters and the design of a Chebyshev filter is shown from two different working approaches. The first one is designed by obtaining the coefficient of the transfer function taking into account the specification of the filter; the second one, through Simulink blocks whose specific design is used as parameters. Finally, the results obtained by using different approaches on filters with similar characteristics are discussed.
