The author depicts a join vision of past and present mechanism of protection for the insured person. At the same time, he analyzes new legal institutions such as electronic commerce; non traditional mechanism of distribution; and the social character of insurance law. In addition, the author evaluates insurance financial aspects and the challenges that these represent in the long run.
