The modus operandi of pain in Schopenhauer's and De Quincey's thoughts, becomes the philosophical link between the better conscience and the . These metaphysical ecstasies are elucidated in that which both XIX century's thinkers called the "dream organ". In this essay we will survey on these thinkers' spiritual channeling of pain.
