The article describes the international standards for the protection of human rights related to gender-based violence against women, applied to predictive systems derived from tools that use artificial intelligence, specifically VioGén from Spain. For this, a qualitative methodology with a descriptive scope is applied that uses synthetic and exploratory methods of information from doctrinal sources and official reports on the use of these tools, which is also verified with methods of computational sciences that explain the architecture of the algorithms; to then contrast with the international guarantees of the States in the protection of the human rights of women victims of gender violence. Obtaining as a result that VioGén materializes the duties of prevention, protection, investigation, coordination, surveillance and data collection. However, challenges are identified in addressing some types of violence against women and the application of this tool in the obligations of prosecution and punishment.
