A synopsis of Sloanea subgenus Quadrisepala in Bolivia is presented. Currently, eleven species are recognized (Sloanea fendleriana, S. garckeana, S. gentryi, S. grandis, S. latifolia, S. laxiflora, S. porphyrocarpa, S. rojasiae, S. subsessilis, S. ternifloraand S. uniflora), of which S. latifolia, S. porphyrocarpa, and S. rojasiae are new records for the Bolivian flora. In addition, the original description of S. subsessilisis complemented by adding fruit characters and lectotypes for S. grandis and S. porphyrocarpa are designated.
