ACOSTA-NAVAS, Juan Pablo. Human Rights and Peace in Dispute: A Critical Reading in Relational Code. Ágora U.S.B. [online]. 2020, vol.20, n.2, pp.272-282. ISSN 1657-8031.  https://doi.org/10.21500/16578031.5143.

Despite the consolidation of critical theories and perspectives in contemporary human rights discussions, these remain largely limited to the legal-normative sphere and linked to the hegemonic Western narrative of liberalism, denying the relational content of human rights and its constant process of reconstruction from the interaction of subjects, who hold those rights. A critical perspective on human rights should aim to dismantle, among others, the idea that human rights are constituted exclusively by States, and that they are the only calls for their respect and guarantee.

Palavras-chave : International Law; Human Rights; Liberalism; and Peace.
