This article makes an attempt to reflect on the problem of alimentary dissatisfaction of the Colombian population, focused on the constitutional right approach. For reaching this purpose, some questions arise about the mechanisms law has to face hunger and malnutrition. The article focuses on juridical aspects of "right to food" from a construction of a theory of rights, where authors such as Alexy lead the mentioning of this topic and then explore such construction within the Colombian legal system.
