The perception that the rules of the contractual hermeneutics were considered maxims of the experience, in the legal system of Cuba, has changed after the promulgation of Ordinance Law No. 263/2008. When recognizing a special system of interpretation for the insurance contract, the rule begins a new way for the comprehension of this aspect in the compliance and execution of contracts in our country. The purpose of this research is to analyze the norms of this contract about contractual interpretation and its impact in the system of the Cuban Civil Code, as well as the one of economic and mercantile legislation.
