MEDINA QUINTERO, Felipe Eduardo. Democracy in Latin America nowadays. Justicia Juris [online]. 2013, vol.9, n.2, pp.32-37. ISSN 1692-8571.
In the early XXI century, in Latin America, there has been a series of democratically elected Latin American leaders that have change the course of history. Their governments were supported in the beginning by the success of their efforts, and thus by a broad popular base that makes them indispensable. However, their political aim, once in power, is to overrule beyond the political system. This article is intended to center around the ongoing tension that exists in Latin America between dictator model of state and representative democracy, and how this model of personal government and this particularly democratic development in Latin America are fed each other to live in "harmony".
