The suicide in the population deprived of freedom (PPL, for its initials in Spanish) in prisons in the city of Bogotá, for the commission of different crimes, brings with it a series of questions and issues that generate concern, doubt and sometimes fear. The purpose of the study was to establish the state of the art of studies carried out and trends found on suicidal behavior in this population. In this research we will find the main studies, research and technical documents made by officials and academics, compiled in thirteen documents. It could be established that there are few documents found (13), few investigations and most of them are descriptive.
