This article offers an approach to the educational approaches proposed education based on human rights (EBHR) and education for peace (PE) in order to reflect on the benefits of both approaches as well as offering real proposals practical activities that can be put into practice in higher education. The activities have been carried out in a course of English at the University of Alicante. These activities are aimed at the students reflect on the importance of human rights and peace while acquiring skills in a foreign language. In addition, both approaches enhance critical skills, social awareness and values. A survey was prepared in order to know students' opinions on several aspects of both models.
