Various investigations have demostrated that schizophrenic attentional disorders. Interest in these aspect led authors to review arricies about component P300 of Event Related Potenciáis, to assess cognitive funtíons in schizophrenics. Data were compared with results from a study performed at the Hospital Clínico-Quirúrgico «Hermanos Ameijeiras», in Cuba, in a group of 20 schozophrenic patients (DSM IV) vis-á- vis 20 normal persons. Statistically significant differences in latency and amplitude of P300 (p:<0.0001) were found.
