SCOCOZZA, CARMEN. The First World War: A Conflict that Arrives from the East. Anu. colomb. hist. soc. cult. [online]. 2015, vol.42, n.2, pp.161-176. ISSN 0120-2456. https://doi.org/10.15446/achsc.v42n2.53333.
The anniversary of the First World War was an opportunity to reflect on the relevance of a conflict that radically changed the physiognomy of the European map. This reflection is a historiographical reconstruction which locates the roots of the war in Eastern Europe. From this perspective, an analysis is done on how problems in Eastern Europe triggered a widespread crisis. Along these lines, the reflection highlights that the conflict was more radical in the territories inheriting secular imperial policies and produced destabilizing consequences that continue affecting the global equilibrium.
