This article addresses the impacts of globalization and the agro-industrial model on local territories and settled communities, whose purpose is to characterize, from a multilevel methodological perspective, the debates on globalization and its economic processes that guide economic policies. on the territories, which structured the implementation of the agro-industrial model in the Colombian sugarcane field for the production of fuel ethanol, emphasizing the conflicts between this extractivist model and the communities settled, specifically, in the northern region of the department of the Cauca. Progress is being made in unraveling the spatial and temporal heterogeneity of the global, national and local dynamics and logics that interpenetrate in the sub-region of the department. The article establishes how the implementation of the monoculture agroindustry produced impacts on the reconfiguration of the State, specifically in the regulatory sphere and territorial reordering; In addition, to promote scenarios for the organization and social mobilization of the indigenous, Afro-descendant and peasant communities settled in the department of Cauca, who demand greater autonomy over their territories.
