GONZALEZ, Julio César; MYER, Rick Alan  e  PACHON-MUNOZ, William. Anthropic Risks Assessment in Corporate Security: From the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to a Comprehensive Model of Security Risk Assessment. Rev. Cient. Gen. José María Córdova [online]. 2017, vol.15, n.19, pp.269-289. ISSN 1900-6586.  https://doi.org/10.21830/19006586.81.

This article raises the discussion about the application of the "Failure Mode and Effects Analysis” (FMEA) methodology, in risk assessment for corporate security, based on a comparative analysis between risk and crime from the "Iter Criminis" perspective. The hypothesis to hold is that the risk assessment methodologies, used for the anthropic risk, are not enough; since they don’t analyse the stages at which the risk occurs. The results of these methodologies could be questioned about the effectiveness in the risk assessment. Thus, the investigations conducted into corporate physical security, suggests a need for adaptation of FMEA method to anthropic risks, proposing a new tool embedded within the grounds of the technical standard for risk management techniques based on the International Organization for Standardization, allows a comprehensive assessment to the risk phases, with a logical scale value and useful for corporate security managers.

Palavras-chave : Failure Mode and Effects Analysis; risk assessment and corporate security; anthropic risk.
