ORTEGA GUZMAN, Luis Fernando  e  OSORIO, Juan Fernando Gil. Recognition of military victims and its implications for military honor. Rev. Cient. Gen. José María Córdova [online]. 2022, vol.20, n.39, pp.631-649.  Epub 01-Jul-2022. ISSN 1900-6586.  https://doi.org/10.21830/19006586.889.

This article examines the degree of recognition of the military victim classification in the Army’s regulations and doctrine, analyzing its relationship with military honor, central to the members of the Armed Forces doctrine. A qualitative methodology based on documentary analysis is used to determine the status of the military victim from the legal norms that support the category of military victim in Colombia and its transformation after the 2016 Peace Agreement. Then, it addresses the importance and transformation of the concept of military honor and discusses its relationship with military victims. Based on the autopoiesis of social systems, it is concluded that institutional neglect of military victims can disarticulate the principle of military honor.
