The article presents an interpretive analysis of a qualitative study carried out in a public school in the south of Bogotá. The objective of the research project was to understand, from a historical and social perspective of education in Colombia, how schools have reshaped themselves according to the relationships established between teachers and students, the nature of knowledge, and the inclusion of technologies in the school space. It was possible to identify a new educational divide, due to the fact that although technological tools are employed, the ideas of traditional education, based on a distributive function of knowledge, are still preserved.
