BUTRON PRIDA, Gonzalo. The take in of the Spaniard Constitution of 1812 in the pre-unified Italy: Cadiz as a pretext and a flag. Hist. Soc. [online]. 2012, n.23, pp.37-54. ISSN 0121-8417.
Starting from a reflection on the importance of Spanish revolutionary model in liberal and romantic Europe and the Spanish Constitution of 1812 influence in that context, the article discusses the specific case of two proposals for adapting the Spanish code in Italy before unification. The first, of Neapolitan origin and anonymous authorship, was taken to the press in order to influence the constitutional process opened after elections in September 1820. The second, of Piedmontese origin, failed to see the public light and its influence was restricted to the immediate milieu to its author, Count Santorre di Santarosa.
