Abstract
MONTOYA DUQUE, Juan Carlos. From Theoretical Reason to Practical Reason. Schema, Analogy, and Typical in Kant’s Critical Philosophy. Prax. filos. [online]. 2024, n.59, e20113146. Epub July 18, 2024. ISSN 0120-4688. https://doi.org/10.25100/pfilosofica.v0i59.13146.
This article proposes to think of a way of articulating the theoretical and practical domains of Kant's critical philosophy based on the different types of synthetic operations of subjectivity (scheme, analogy, and typical) that each of the first two critiques put into question. It is argued that the theoretical domain obtains its characterization from synthetic operations of a schematic nature and that the practical domain obtains it, for its part, from two types of synthetic operations: first, from analogy as a practical simulation that regulates the theoretical domain (KrV), and second, of the typical of practical judgment in which, using synthesis of the heterogeneous, the subject opens up to a supersensible determination that exceeds his mere natural potentialities (KpV).
