GARCIA GIRALDO, JUAN PABLO; CRUZ QUINTERO, ANA SOFÍA and GUTIERREZ NORENA, EYLEEN JERITZA. Total Peace Law: Analysis from the Typologies of Peace. Rev. Derecho [online]. 2025, n.64, pp.203-225. Epub Nov 05, 2025. ISSN 0121-8697. https://doi.org/10.14482/dere.64.986.541.
This article aims to analyze the Total Peace Law, or Law 2272 of 2022, from academic literature perspective on peace typologies, emphasizing Johan Galtung's approaches to assessing the components of this regulation. To this end, a qualitative research study with a bibliometric design was conducted, including a literature review that led to the development of a normative analysis of Law 2272 of 2022. In this sense, the article aims to contribute to the theoretical and conceptual understanding of this policy implemented by the Colombian government. It offers an analysis that allows, from a perspective of peace and conflict studies, to assess its structure and purposes. It concludes that the Total Peace Law is primarily oriented toward creating negative peace scenarios, although some elements can be understood from other peace typologies, incorporating basic components of a peace policy based on Johan Galtung's approaches and proposals.
