This paper aims to expose the state of the art about the Last Planner System (LPS), production planning and control system that has transformed construction industry at operational and management level. After doing a systematic literature research in international databases, 116 papers from different countries were selected, whose content focuses on the theoretical framework of the methodology, case studies, support tools, integration with other methodologies and implementation in design.
