Introduction:

In recent years, the Ministry of Health has reported an increasing pattern of symptoms of anxiety and depression among the population (SEDESA, 2017). Data that emerged after the 2020-2021 pandemic. By 2022, SEDESA will stop issuing mandatory protocol statements and thereby transfer the responsibility of safeguarding mental health to the population. In this sense, science and academia have joined forces to design a strategy that allows evaluating, in line with proactive prevention, skills and abilities in the adoption of an attitude of self-care in professionals and as agents of change for others.

Objectives:

1. Describe the construction of the Nuance Appreciation Inventory of Capacities and Skills in Human Development [IAMCH]. Have a reliable and valid instrument with the possibility of predicting capable and skilled professionals in facilitating human development in themselves and others.

Method:

The IAHCH was designed taking the guidelines proposed by the Guidelines for Translating and Adapting Tests in 6 categories. The sample was made up of 200 young adults, residents of Mexico City, with university studies, under a cross-sectional design, a non-probabilistic sample for convenience. 33,5 % described themselves as men and 66,5 % as women, with an age range of 20 to 64 years.

Results:

The IAHCH was reliable and valid, consisting of 6 strategic dimensions.

Conclusions:

Professionals like to first work on their own self-care and self-actualization, and then be a transforming agent for others.
