Abstract

PUERTO BECERRA, Doria Patricia. Globalization and entrepreneurial growth through internationalization strategies. Pensam. gest. [online]. 2010, n.28, pp.171-195. ISSN 1657-6276.

This article shows the relationship between globalization and enterprise growth. The approach starts with a broad description of globalization to achieve full identification of the synergistic relationship between two variables. It also refers to the strategic choices that the global context offers that lead to business growth. The article not only seeks to highlight the importance of globalization on business growth but also invites to explore the influence of external and internal factors on decision making when going out to foreign markets in search of growth. The internationalization strategies as a way to enhance business growth make sense when growth improves productivity and innovation, which means when it reaches a condition that guarantees success and stability.

Keywords : Globalization; business growth; strategy of internationalization; foreign markets; expansion of markets; strategic options.
