Is a common practice in Colombia the construction of trusses made up of double angles face to face instead of angles back to back like the worldwide practice An investigation was carried out to compare its behavior and to calibrate the actual design criteria . It is shown in this work that considerations usually made for back to back angles can not be applied directly, and a methodology is proposed in order to estimate the strength of  face to face double angles.
