Abstract

ZAPATA, CARLOS M.  and  CARMONA, NICOLÁS. WIZARD-OF-OZ EXPERIMENT AND ITS APPLICATIONS: AN OVERVIEW. Dyna rev.fac.nac.minas [online]. 2007, vol.74, n.151, pp.125-135. ISSN 0012-7353.

In Computational Linguistics, corpora have been ones of the most useful resources for several linguistic phenomena studies. Corpus collection in Human-Computer Interaction has a main problem: humans simplify their language in presence of a computer and they can introduce errors in collection. For achieving corpus collection, Wizard-of-Oz Experiments have been used. In this paper, we show an overview of Wizard-of-Oz Experiment, and we classify its main applications.

Keywords : Corpus; Wizard-of-Oz; Computational Linguistics; Speech recognition.
