Abstract

MENDOZA, EMIGDIO  and  GARCIA, CLAUDIA. SOL-GEL COATINGS DEPOSITED ON STAINLESS STEELS ALLOYS REVIEW. Dyna rev.fac.nac.minas [online]. 2007, vol.74, n.153, pp. 101-110. ISSN 0012-7353.

This is a review paper of the inorganic, hybrid, and containing dispersed particles coatings, deposited on stainless steel alloys by means of the sol-gel technical. Starting from these coatings it is possible the modification of the surface properties of these metallic alloys, searching to improve their chemical resistance and the biocompatibility, when they are exposed to physiologic fluids.

Keywords : Sol-Gel; Coatings; stainless steel.
