Abstract

The barium titanate (BaTiO3) is a material with very important ferroelectrics properties. It is usually obtained through the mixture of oxides, TiO2 and BaCO3, this method gives big particles and it requires high temperatures for the synthesis of this compound. In this work, we used the coprecipitación method to obtain BaTiO3 with a smaller particle size and a low temperature of synthesis. The most appropriate parameters for the synthesis, pH, concentration precursors and temperature, were determined. The ceramics powders were characterized with ATD/TG, DRX, FTIR and MET.
