Taking into account the development of new software tools supporting collaboration, this paper introduces the architecture and experimental results of a set of software tools supporting collaboration based on Digital Workbook Metaphor, in collaborative evaluation scenarios. The platform used has been Tablet Pc, because offers an interaction based on schemes closer to the user and the metaphor of the proposed design. The prototypes developed allow verify the validity of this proposal as a model for supporting collaborative work incorporating awareness mechanisms, becoming a technological reference for the future development of groupware systems based on Tablet PC.
